together with Anand Angarag, we were invited by Maya Hottarek to realize the Thanatos Bar at Cabane B in Bern, where visitors could taste the THANATOS POTION through a straw made from deer bone and self cast cups out of bee wax at the THANATOS BAR. The happening took place on the evening of the 30.09.2020 curated by Maya Hottarek <3 .. The life instinct Eros is opposed by the death instinct Thanatos. This principle of the oppositional relationship is the main motif of many vanitas depictions of romanticism and has as a model a dreadful curiosity for destructive desire. This inclination to the death instinct is in our positive society often repressed and tabooed, thereby manifesting her presence from a shadowy existence.
